The Portable Henry Rollins by Henry Rollins,

The Portable Henry Rollins by Henry Rollins,
Henry Rollins is an artist whose legendary, no-holds-barred performances encompasses music, acting, and written and spoken word. As Details magazine said when it named Rollins the 1994 Man of the Year: "through two decades of rage and discipline, Henry Rollins has transformed himself from an L.A. punk rocker into a universal soldier. His enemies: slackers and hypocrites. His mission: to steel your soul and rock your world." Rollins was frontman for the seminal punk band Black Flag, and since 1987 has led the Rollins Band, whose ninth album, Come In and Burn, was just released by DreamWorks. As a spoken-word artist, he regularly performs at colleges and theaters worldwide and has released eight spoken-word audiotapes. His album Get in the Van won the Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album for 1995. As an actor, he has appeared in The Chase, Johnny Mnemonic, Heat, and David Lynch's forthcoming film, Lost Highway. From his days as front man for the band Black Flag and the current Rollins Band to his books and spoken-word audiotapes, Henry Rollins is the music, the attitude, and the voice that takes no prisoners. In his twelve books, he has led us on a hallucinatory journey through the decades--and his mind--with poems, essays, short stories, diary entries, and rants that exist at "the frayed edges where reality ends and imagination begins" (Publishers Weekly). For the first time, the best of his legendary, no-holds-barred writings are available. This collection includes new photos and works from such seminal Rollins books as: High Adventure in the Great Outdoors Art to Choke Hearts Bang! Black Coffee Blues Get in the Van Do I Come Here Often? Solipsist Plusnever before released stories and more...

Mel Gibson Collection
Mel Gibson Collection
3-DVD pack includes suspense thriller "Conspiracy Theory," buddy action pic "Lethal Weapon: Director's Cut," and cowboy comedy "Maverick." "Conspiracy Theory" - An offbeat romantic comedy. Jerry Fletcher (Gibson), a conspiracy-obsessed New York cab driver, sees evidence of sinister plots in even the most ordinary places. Alice Sutton (Roberts) is a bright, albeit skeptical justice dept. attorney. "Lethal Weapon: Director's Cut" - With over seven minutes of previously unavailable scenes, the director's cut of "Lethal Weapon" is a long-overdue present for fans. Riggs' solitary homelife and the tragic loss spurring him in a reckless disregard for his own safety now come into greater focus. We see that recklessness is new scenes underlining the differences between the two cops. Murtaugh, just 50, needs reassurance about his skills at a firing range. Riggs, not caring if he sees another birthday, coolly walks into a schoolyard sniper's field of fire. All the humor and adrenaline that made this original an entertainment milestone are here, too. No scenes have been removed. But new action and new insight are now included. Include yourself in the excitement. "Maverick" - Ante up-for laughter and action aplenty! Mel Gibson is sly gambler Bret Maverick, Jodie Foster is a charming scam artist and James Garner (the original Bret Maverick, from the Emmy-winning TV series) is a laid-back lawman in "Maverick", the crowd-pleasing hit that deals you a winning hand. With more twists than a switchback trail and more sleights of hand than a shell game, Maverick is rollicking proof of how the West was fun. A riverboat poker tourney promises a winner-take-all $500,000...and Bret aims to be the winner who does the taking! But first he must cope with the hangman's noose, a runaway stage, a wily Indian chief, outlaws, ingrates, a bagful of rattlesnakes and more close calls than a long-tailed cat in a roomful of rocking chairs. So don't miss the excitement.

John Cooper (artist) - John Cooper is the lead singer for the Christian Metal band Skillet. He is married to Korey Cooper, who is the band's keyboardist and has recently taken up electric guitar as well.

Incredible Bongo Band - The Incredible Bongo Band, also known as Michael Viner's Incredible Bongo Band, was a project started by Michael Viner, a record artist manager and executive at MGM Records. The band's output consisted of instrumental music in the funk genre, characterised by the prominence of bongo drums and also conga drums.

Artist collective - An Artist collective is a term used to describe the activities of artists who collaborate in a formal manner. Just as musicians will form a collective and be known as a "band" and adopt a moniker, artist collectives function in a similar way.

Hometown Band - The Hometown Band was founded in 1975 by Claire Lawrence, a former member of The Collectors and Chilliwack, to back up Canadian folk artist Valdy. The band was composed of Shari Ulrich (lead vocals, flute, fiddle), Geoff Ayre (drums, vocals), Robbie King (organ, piano, keyboard bass), and Doug Edwards (guitar, keyboards, bass).
